I have recently been having issues with taking my rings off and finding them in every room of my apartment! I knew I had been needing a ring tray for quite sometime now and finally decided to make one myself. I am really into the black/gray/white marble look with gold accents. I think it is classy and timeless. I went by the local hobby lobby and picked up some items to make this ring dish happen!

|MATERIALS|
- Baking clay.
-X-acto knife or just a sharp knife.
- Paint brush.
- Gold paint.
|STEPS|
- Purchase the clay at your local craft store and pick out any color you want shown in your tray. Cut thicker pieces of the color you want shown more. Roll these pieces to about 5" long.
- Twist the clay together. You may have to do this a couple of times to get the marble look you want.
- Your clay should look like this before you flatten it out.
- Use a rolling pen or something round that is able to flatten out your clay. Leave about 1/4" thickness. Take a round object that is around 6" diameter and use it to cut your circle out. Place your circle into a small oven safe bowl making sure it has enough room to dip down. Bake for the amount of time your baking clay suggests.
- Let your ring dish cool and then paint the exposed face of the edge of the plate. You may have to trim some excess clay of the edge.
Enjoy your beautiful ring dish!! It will hopefully save many midi rings from being lost!DIY- M
